LONDON ACCORDION ORCHESTRA
London Accordion Orchestra (LAO) was founded in 1999 and is the leading UK Accordion Orchestra.
The orchestra performs a wide range of repertoire at venues across the country and abroad. From Norwich to Nuremberg, Skipton to Slovenia, LAO has wowed audiences with thrilling performances that last long in the memory.
The orchestra is committed to commissioning new music and working with composers to develop fresh and exciting pieces that delight players and audiences alike.
Their album ‘Flight’ was recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios and features many of these commissions. LAO players are committed and passionate about giving audiences relevant and fresh experiences every time we take to the stage.
LondON ACCORDION PLAYERS
London Accordion Players (LAP) is our second orchestra. Originally conceived as a training ensemble, LAP has gone on to develop a real identity of their own. The orchestra’s fun and entertaining performances also include innovative new repertoire, following in the footsteps of LAO and aiming to raise the profile of accordion orchestras.
The players also have the opportunity to work with composers on pieces written specially for them. LAP continues to go from strength to strength, engaging its audiences with quality repertoire, both old and new.
