The orchestra have been working with Academy composers to develop five new pieces for accordion orchestra. They will also play two pieces from their album Flight - 'Rhapsody' by Stuart Hancock and 'Peace' by Ian Watson. The new pieces range from a Lullaby, based on traditional scottish bagpipe music, to a deconstruction of Astor Piazzolla's 'Oblivion'.
Admission is free (unreserved seating), there will be no interval and the concert will finish at around 8pm.

Keep an ear on BBC Radio 5 Live between 10:30am and 11am this morning. Our conductor will have a quick chat with presenter Anna Foster about the rise in popularity of the accordion and our concert at Union Chapel for Daylight Music on the 1st December.
Last Saturday the orchestra gave a joint concert with the Craven Accordion Orchestra in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We were given a wonderful welcome from the local players and a standing ovation from the sold out audience. Thanks to all of the organisers for looking after us so well.
